What is the Management Support Program?

The Management Support Program is an element of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The Employee Assistance Program can assist leaders to manage difficult situations in the workplace by providing advice and counselling. Counselling is free, totally confidential and aimed at enhancing your wellbeing, both personally and in the workplace. The Management Support Program can be used for dealing with the specific management issues and pressures caused by dealing with conflict situations, staff demands, and management/ executive expectations and interventions.

Psychological Health Intervention’s psychologists are professional, qualified and experienced. The Management Support Program utilises specialists experienced in managerial issues.

Will it be confidential?

At all times your privacy will be maintained. All personal information remains with the provider of the counselling and counsellors will not discuss your details with anyone unless you request them to do so in writing.

Who can use the service?

Anyone employed by the participating organisation, or their immediate family.

When can I attend appointments?

Appointments can be made during normal business hours and at other times by arrangement. You may make an appointment in your own time or during work hours. When you attend an initial interview you may be considered to be on duty, provided your manager/supervisor is notified. However, your manager/supervisor does not have to know the nature of your problem. You may make alternative leave arrangements if you prefer no one to know that you are attending a counsellor.

Subsequent visits will be made under existing leave provisions e.g. flex, recreation, sick or special leave as appropriate.
